On different occasions, the sea and friends afforded enthralling views, conversations, and lasting memories. Below, scenes from Deir Al Balah coast, central Gaza, where I caught the sunset and moonrise in the company of a friend, his wife, and family.

On another occasion, further along the coast, a late afternoon early evening visit to the beach provided glimpses of friends knocking around a football, horse and camel riders, couples strolling, and the sunset.

  1. Beautiful pictures, specially the sunset.
Lovely smiles despite the pain of the genocide.

Waves look like they’re surfable, do they get any larger? is there any that surf in Gaza?

  2. Beautiful! It’s good to know that despite the horrific circumstances of life there, people continue to live and enjoy the beauty of their natural surroundings. Palestinians are so strong, just so, so strong!
