Martinez: “unapologetically support the Syrian government, Syrian army, Hezbollah and Iran in their fight to the death against both sectarian terrorism & imperialist state terrorism…”

Carlos Martinez:

The only decent anti-imperialist, progressive, HUMAN position is to unambiguously and unapologetically support the Syrian government, Syrian army, Hezbollah and Iran in their fight to the death against both sectarian terrorism and imperialist state terrorism (which are two sides of the same coin).

Tony Cartalucci:

Russia and Iran’s Reaction to US Assault on Syria…

We have to wait and see what Russia and Syria’s other allies do – one thing we should know by now is that Russia and Iran don’t plan on sitting on their hands for anything – but they see things the general public doesn’t and calculates their strategy to take into account factors both short-term and long-term.

For our part, we must report the truth, the origins of this conflict, and contest the lies and misinformation being peddled by the mainstream media. We must also commit ourselves daily to boycotting and replacing the corporate-financier special interests that drive this insidious agenda.

Russia, Iran, Syria, and others have the resources and information to move against this threat geopolitically and militarily, we have the ability to contest it socioeconomically.

Sana, Sep 23: Foreign Ministry : Minister al-Moallem received letter from US counterpart informing him that the US will target ISIS positions in Syria:

“Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs said “After Syria’s confirmations on many occasions that it is ready to cooperate in combating terrorism in the framework of the full respect of its national sovereignty, and after many countries agreed on the necessity of respecting the UN Charter which affirms respecting the countries’ sovereignty and their territorial integrity, Syria’s permanent representative to the UN was informed on Monday that the US and some of its allies will target the terrorist organization of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria” ISIS” in Syria hours before launching the airstrikes.

The Ministry continued “The Syrian Arab Republic affirms that it has been and it is still fighting the ISIS in Raqqa and Deir Ezzour and other areas, and it will not stop fighting it in cooperation with the countries which are directly or indirectly affected by it, on top of which the brotherly country of Iraq…In this framework, Syria affirms that coordination between the two countries is ongoing and on highest levels to fight terrorism in implementation of the international resolution No. 2170 which was unanimously passed by the UN Security Council.

The Ministry concluded the statement by saying ” Announcing for the second time that it is standing with any international efforts in the framework of combating and fighting terrorism regardless of its names such as Jabhat al-Nusra and the ISIS, the Syrian Arab Republic asserts that this must be done with completely preserving the lives of innocent civilians and in the framework of the national sovereignty and according to the international pacts.””

Sana Sep 23: Al-Moallem : Seriousness of US and its allies in combating terrorism entails immediate halt to supporting, financing and training terrorists:

“Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem stressed that the seriousness of the US and its allies in combating terrorism entails to immediately halt supporting, financing and training the terrorist organizations and to stop facilitating their flow into the Syrian territories through coordination with the Syrian state.

In an interview with Russian RT TV channel, Minister al-Moallem said that if the US is serious in combating terrorism of the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria  (ISIS) and other organizations, it must start to move in the framework of the United Nations (UN) without excluding anyone including Russia, Iran and Syria.

He added “We must distinguish between the international efforts in the framework of the Security Council’s resolution No. 2170 to combat the terrorism of the ISIS, Jabahat al-Nusra and other al-Qaeda-linked terrorist organizations, and the hidden intentions of the US and its allies as the members of this alliance are the same countries which have conspired against Syria for more than three years.

He added that there are suspicions on the desire of the US and its allies to achieve a political solution in Syria as they are training the armed groups in a step towards allowing them to enter Syria to continue fighting the Syrian Arab army which means that they want the crisis to continue and they want to blow up any political solution.

“Any violation of Syria’s sovereignty is an aggression.. this aggression is clearly defined at the international law,” Al-Moallem said, noting that Syria is still stretching a hand to cooperation and coordination for countering the terrorism of the Islamic state in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), al-Nusra Front and other terrorist organizations according to the UN Resolution No. 2170.

The Minister added “We in Syria are proud of the standing coexistence among all components of the Syrian people and we firmly reject any attempt of discrimination on ethnic or religious basis among the Syrian people,” reiterating that the Kurdish people are a dear part of the Syrian society.

…Russia and Syria have been partners in combating terrorism for more than three years, stressing that the Russia’s military support to Syria aims at strengthening its own capabilities in countering terrorism.

He pointed out that Syria’s coordination with Russia, Iran and the BRICS group countries is continuous, asserting that Moscow would not allow the passing of any resolution under the Chapter VII.

He stressed that Syria demanded the implementation of the UN Security Council’s Resolution No. 2170 by all the countries, particularly the neighboring countries which had been and are still supporting terrorism.”

Sana, Sep 23: President al-Assad to Iraqi envoy: Syria proceeding resolutely in its war against terrorism:

“President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday met Faleh Fayyad, the Iraqi National Security Advisor and the envoy of Russian Prime
Minister Haider al-Abadi.

Talks during the meeting tackled counterterrorism efforts, with the Iraqi envoy briefing President al-Assad on the latest steps taken in this regard,
as well as discussing upcoming steps and possible measures to ensure the success of these efforts and eliminate terrorists organizations in all their forms.

President al-Assad affirmed to Fayyad that Russia is proceeding resolutely in its war against all forms of takfiri terrorism which it has been waging for years, asserting that Syria supports any international counterterrorism effort.

The President stressed that the success of such efforts isn’t just linked to military action which is important, as it’s also linked to states committing themselves to relevant international resolutions and what they entail in terms of stopping all forms of support for terrorist organizations.

The two sides affirmed the need to continue cooperation and coordination between the two countries’ leadership in combating terrorism, particularly since this cooperation produced positive results for the people of Syria, Iraq, and the region.”

Syria Truths, Sep 22:  Speaker: Whoever wants to fight terrorism must cooperate with Syria:

“Speaker of the People’s Assembly Mohammad Jihad al-Laham said that the terrorist war against Syria is becoming fiercer despite the Security Council’s resolution No. 2170 which called on the world’s countries to fight terrorism, particularly the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq (ISIS) and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organizations.
He affirmed that the U.S. and Western movements to form an alliance outside the framework of the Security Council to fight ISIS do not reflect a true will to confront terrorism.

In a speech during the People’s Assembly session on Sunday, al-Laham said that the countries which joined this alliance are the ones that armed, financed, trained, and sent terrorists to Syria, weather these terrorists are affiliated to ISIS or Jabhat al-Nusra, pointing out that the aforementioned countries have rejected to cooperate with Russia, China, Iran, and Syria to fight terrorism.

“Are there any sane persons who could think about fighting terrorism without cooperation with the countries which are exposed to it?” The Speaker wondered.
He also added that whoever truly wants to fight terrorism must learn from Syria and its army and to cooperate with its government according to a long-term plan.
Al-Laham hailed the role of the Syrian Arab Army in confronting terrorism imposed on the country.”

Tony Cartalucci:

“The US Created Al Qaeda, ISIS. Time to Wake Up!

When you hear the US trying to blame Syrian President Bashar al Assad for the “creation of Al Qaeda in Syria,” keep in mind he and his father before him have fought extremism for DECADES.

We already have a full admission from the so-called “moderates” and “defectors” behind whom the US and its allies are lined up, admitted they, not President Assad, organized death squads to be sent into Iraq during the US occupation. This was part of Washington’s plans to divide and destroy the unified Sunni-Shia’a resistance that emerged at the beginning of the Iraq War.

It was the US who created Al Qaeda in the mountains of Afghanistan in the 1980s, the US and British who ran the Muslims Brotherhood for decades before that, and the US who created and to this day runs, arms, and funds the multinational mercenary force called “ISIS” or “ISIL” or the “Islamic State” by the media.

Here are your “moderates.” Admitting to organizing terrorist death squads for years. This is who the US is currently talking about arming, funding, and providing aircover for.

If anyone is truly interested in fighting ISIS/ISIL and the extremism that fills its ranks, the real target should be Doha, Riyadh, Washington, and Tel Aviv.
