In Damascus, I have an informal conversation with geopolitical analyst and media policy and law consultant, Laith Marouf, about recent events in Syria.
Laith addresses issues related to Kurds in Syria here, but for a really detailed breakdown, listen to this interview we did:
Ex-CIA bigwig was (1) right in 2014 about not trying for Syrian regime change (2) is right that US should stay out permanently http://grahamefuller.com/327/ & http://grahamefuller.com/everybody-betraying-everybody-in-syria/ Also, a US general tells how we rebranded terrorists in Syria as good guys https://twitter.com/walid970721/status/1184117246253244416?s=20
‘A rebellion in US command, taking their time’. Good point. Is the Presidency actually in control of foreign policy?
Looks like US strategy is to soften the approach of Erdoğan so he can take the Oil Fields and refinery so that American companies can control them via their ally NATO member, Turkey.
The US have said, their over-arching policy is never-ending Syrian government instability – the key to that is dividing the country. Turkey holding everything north of the Euphrates River valley does that nicely.
Cheers to Syria!
